Summary

The Council are looking to recruit 2 Full Time Traffic & Travel Technicians to join a newly created Traffic and Travel Team. The successful candidates will work within a busy office environment and provide a Traffic and Travel monitoring service to support issues on the city network, which may cause disruption to journey times.
The two posts are working 37 hrs, Mon to Fri on a rota basis, which is expected to be: 07:00 to 15:00 and 10:00 to 18:00.
The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient, accurate and responsive information and communication support service to assist the street works permit team and to publish information relating to active travel platforms and interactive services available across the city.
We are looking for a good communicator and team player. You will have the ability to learn various ICT systems, including back-office systems for emergency road works, traffic light issues and to gather information for bus camera breaches. A good standard of English with experience of both written and oral communication will be required to enable the publication of accurate information relating to traffic and travel messaging.
This will be an exciting opportunity to take on a new challenge and join a busy team as Hull City Council continues to work with external and internal customers providing a messaging and information service to help promote and improve the customers journey across the city.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Adam McArthur, Streetworks Manager on 01482 612 764 or Adam.McArthur2@hullcc.gov.uk
