Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Mobilising Team Caerphilly programme.
We pay an attractive salary of £58,858 - £64,547 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Council’s Programme Office. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating multiple projects within the Council’s Mobilising Team Caerphilly (MTC) programme. Key aspects of the role include Strategic Leadership, Project Oversight, Risk Management, Team Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Continuous Improvement and Customer Outcomes.
The role includes working with Heads of Service and Service Managers to create innovative solutions to complex challenges and ensure the effective transformation and modernisation of systems, services and processes across the Council. You will also support the Service Transformation Director and Place Shaping Director by providing advice, guidance and expertise on highly complex and politically sensitive issues relating to the Service Transformation and Place Shaping Programmes. These include, but are not restricted to, political handling, digital transformation, service design, customer experience, risk management, benefits realisation and organisational development and design.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
Knowledge and understanding of the range of policy and operational issues confronting business improvement; digital transformation; customer experience; organisational development; business process efficiency and effectiveness in a public sector context.
Evidence of efficient and effective service delivery through motivating, encouraging, empowering and releasing the potential of staff.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and beyond to attend meetings and visit sites.
