Summary

Job objectives and responsibilities

· To deliver reliable, actionable intelligence concerning crime and security threats to the Sainsbury's network in order to drive the resource to risk model and contribute to creating a safe and secure environment.

· Proactively merge intelligence from disparate qualitative and quantitative sources and draw inferences and conclusions based on client needs

· Provide the highest standards of intelligence to influence key decision makers internally and externally with our law enforcement partners

· Working with the Senior Analyst and Police and Partnership Manager to develop an effective risk-based deployment model

· Supports a great working environment that reflects both Mitie and Sainsbury's values

· To deliver results that meet the agreed ‘Ways of Working' and set KPI's



Main Duties

To deliver results for their identified area that meets or exceeds the budget and service delivery requirements through full responsibility and accountability for:



· Own the strategic direction of crime analysis - working closely with the senior Sainsbury's stakeholders to ensure we stay ahead of the industry curve and add maximum value to the Sainsbury's business

· Analyse crime trends and present actionable intelligence to provide advice or more effectively managed security resources

· Identify and assess persons of interest and organised crime groups that propose a threat to Sainsbury's and support end to end case management with the objective of securing criminal convictions and custodial sentences

· Create intelligence products to identify risk and vulnerabilities to our client's retail operations and wider estate

· Make appropriate recommendations for the deployment of security resources

· Present intelligence and evidence to the client and law enforcement partners

· Promote intelligence sharing with internal and external stakeholders including law enforcement partners

· Bring to the fore innovations in crime threat intelligence to enhance the capability and reputation of the origination as an industry leader

· Actively engage with internal and external customers to fully understand operational requirements and promote effective crime prevention strategies

· Ensure the compliance with GDPR and company and client quality standards

· Where appropriate, implement actions to protect the business and minimise non-compliance at all times

· Work and communicate with other support functions as appropriate to ensure workflow is effective and delivers the right output in the right timescales

· Provide training and oral briefings to the client and contract management team as required

· Delivery of time critical tasks as directed by line management

· Complete ad-hoc projects as designated by the Senior Analyst or Police and Partnership Manager on time and to the required high standards



Personal Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

· Strong big-data analytical ability -An expert user of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, and use of good working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Power Point

· Experience in writing reports

· Understanding of organised acquisitive crime or loss prevention witin retail and distribution

· Customer service focused

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong team ethic

· Good educational background and a solid command of written and spoken English

· Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work under pressure amd make quick decisions

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Reliable, flexible and discreet

· Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve tight deadlines

· A positive attitude and ability to deal with pressure professionally



Health and Safety responsibilities

-Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

-Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

-Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

Information Security

-Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;

-Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;

-Report actual and suspected security incidents;
