Job objectives and responsibilities
-Reporting to the Category Manager / Business Partner.
-Lead category strategy development, execution and sourcing activity within agreed categories of supply
-Liaising with key stakeholders within our client operations teams, both defining business needs and implementing procurement strategies
-Maintain KPIs and Metrics to measure the performance of the annual savings and supplier performance within the category or business sub-division.
-This role will have no direct reports but will require the holder to work in teams and take the lead at times on appropriate subject matter items.
-Collect, collate and analyse supplier performance data to support the Supplier Management Framework process (MFA)
-Support the implementation and the enhancement of the Coupa P2P system
-Support new client bids and mobilisations, as well as supporting integrations on new acquisitions.
Main Duties
Tasks:
-Manage the benefits project pipeline and maintain the reporting / forecasting within Provalido savings tracker
-Monitor the Contract renewal pipeline and maintain the contract database, with the creation, amendment, extension or cessation of Master Framework Agreements.
-Support Accounts Payable with payable issues when escalated to the central procurement team. Facilitate remdial discussions with between AP, Business Unit Operations and Key Suppliers.
-Update and maintain SMF Scorecards and track Supplier Corrective Actions.
-Support Risk Management by tracking supplier performance, financial stability and compliance to Alcumus
-Proactively identify and deliver cost savings, cost reductions and volume-based discount opportunities in accordance with group supply chain and procurement targets
-Support ethical and sustainable sourcing initiatives, modern slavery VCSE and ESG requirements. Manage and maintain feedback on progress from the supply base
-Ensure performance and practices are performed in line with all Supply Chain Policies, Procedures and Systems
-Work in partnership with the wider Procurement department members

-Best value for money on category spend, achieving annualised and in-year benefits, savings targets, and continuous improvement opportunities
-Demonstrable application of a full category management approach delivering quantifiable value to the bottom line
-Interface with internal stakeholders to understand & influence business needs and demand. Seen to be working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure an optimal supply chain performance
-Robust management of key supplier relationships within category with a culture of continuous improvement
-Demonstrates that Mitie is a customer of choice who works in partnership with key suppliers to unlock new joint value and improve performance
Person Specification
-Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience/qualifications
-Relevant experience of working with the category of supply
-Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
-Commercial procurement experience
-Experience in a fast-paced complex environment, with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers
-Experience in working in a multi-site environment
-Demonstrable category management and negotiating skills
-Competence with Microsoft Office tools and P2P systems.
Desirable
-MCIPS qualified

-Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
