The Role

Tameside Youth Justice Service is working hard to reduce offending and re-offending by children and young people living in Tameside. To help us achieve our vision we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Case Manager, who has experience of working with children in the field of criminal justice or safeguarding.

As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for holding a caseload of children open to Tameside Youth Justice Service who are subject to preventative interventions, out of court disposals and statutory Court Orders. You will supervise cases, making appropriate referrals and work closely with key partner agencies with the aim of promoting desistance, minimising risk of harm, safeguarding and protecting the public.

You will be required to complete timely and accurate assessments, complete written reports to a high standard and deliver high quality interventions to improve outcomes for children in line with practice standards.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience and is passionate about helping young people and their families in challenging circumstances, preferably with prior experience of working within the criminal justice arena.

The role is subject to:

Social work qualification or equivalent/relevant qualification appropriate to one of the partner agencies e.g. NPS, Police, Education, Health.
