Your Role

Stockport is the place to be, with a thriving cultural and business heartbeat. Our libraries are a focal point for this culture and a key asset to our residents and partners. An opportunity has arisen for a new role to support the shaping of our library service. The Libraries Project Manager will be part of our dynamic and creative Libraries Project Team to ensure our libraries deliver a range of events and activities to truly reflect a modern twenty-first century service, including sourcing and writing funding bids and being point of contact for our Library Management System.

About You

We are looking for passionate, driven individuals who can work on their own initiative or as part of a team. You must be an excellent communicator who enjoys working with others and happy to support a changing work place. As this is a new role we are looking for individuals with experience of working in an excellent resident focused business environment.

About Us

Libraries are at the forefront of supporting our libraries to be connected and knowledgeable. We are a free place residents can spend time without challenge or requirement to purchase anything! So do you want to come and work for an Ambitious service that prides itself on being a non-judgemental, welcoming space. So come and join the team!

At Stockport Council we are one ambitious team on a mission to create opportunities for everyone who lives, works and spends time in the borough.
