Summary

The Home Office works to build a safe, fair and prosperous UK. We achieve this through our work on counter-terrorism, policing, fire, crime, drugs policy, immigration and passports.

Homeland Security Group

Homeland Security Group’s (HSG) mission is to reduce homeland security risks to the UK’s people, prosperity and freedoms. This includes risks from terrorism, state threats, economic crime and cyber-crime. We provide systems leadership across government and deliver strategic initiatives, working closely with operational partners, the Intelligence Agencies and other external organisations to protect the UK.

National Communications Data Service

Within the HSG, you will join the National Communications Data Service (NCDS). NCDS is accountable for delivering and maintaining centrally provided Communications Data (CD) services to ensure that the data needed by our user community is available, accessible, and usable. Services will continually evolve to ensure we provide operational value and value for money against a backdrop of rapid and constant technical and business change.

As Project Manager, you will lead/manage projects and the project team on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of projects designed to deliver operational benefits to the local or regional policing, security and intelligence agencies, and other law enforcement agencies, to ensure the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. Some of the projects are delivering new technical capabilities, and others are more focused on maintaining and improving existing capabilities. You will play a key role in project governance and working with stakeholders, to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.
