Summary
Assist In the development, delivery and evaluation of the plaster service to meet theneeds of patients and carers.Assist in the health promotion and care of casts.Assists in the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care in partnership with the patient and the multidisciplinary teamDemonstrate knowledge and skills of plaster removals and applications in line withprotocols and policies.Maintain the clinical and technical skills required to undertake a holistic approach to theassessment of patient needs and implementation of care required as outlined incompetencies, policy and protocols.Act as the patients advocate in all matters relating to their care, treatment and welfareacknowledging and incorporating cultural preferences, health beliefs and behaviours.Ensure accurate clinical records are kept in line with record keeping and Trust policiesTo assist senior medical staff in to provide treatment for patients with orthopaedicconditions in other specialities throughout the Trust, including paediatrics.
