If you're looking for the next step in your communications career, then this is the job for you. We're seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Assistant to join our busy and dynamic team here at Nottinghamshire Police to work on campaigns to help save lives.

Under the supervision of the Senior Campaigns Officer, your role will support the delivery of the force's communication and engagement activity to enhance the corporate identity and build confidence in Nottinghamshire Police while ensuring the force meets its strategic priorities.

As an integral part of the Corporate Communications team, you will support our team of Communication and Engagement Officers in the creation of targeted marketing campaigns and assist in the creation and publishing of relevant, engaging, and newsworthy content for the forces' multiple communication channels.

We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written skills and a background in both external and internal marketing and communications. An understanding of web development and analysis of insight/evaluation and communications channel development are also desirable skills which will highlight your suitability for the role. Having an understanding of forward planning and communications campaigns and media management would also be advantageous for those applying to this role.

The scope of the work will include monitoring channels to ensure content is aligned to the force's brand and key messages, producing and managing campaigns, managing all communications channels and using photography, videography and design and print work to enhance communications.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for positive communications; will be innovative, well-organised and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You will be able to demonstrate working within various communications specialisms delivering impact.

Please note this job will be based at force headquarters, but there is an expectation that the candidate appointed may travel to other locations on occasion. There will also be occasional out-of-hours working for evening or weekend events as necessary.
