Caretaker, Hydrotherapy Pool Plant Operator
30 hrs per Week / 52 weeks per annum
Working alternate shifts: Shift one: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 2.30pm
Shift two: Monday - Friday 12.00noon - 6.30pm

We have a fantastic opportunity for two energetic and motivated individuals to join our team at Ysgol Penmaes, to help us ensure that our school provides a safe, welcoming and purposeful
environment for children, staff and visitors. We are seeking to appoint a Cleaner/Caretaker, Hydrotherapy Pool Plant Operator.
The post is for 30 hrs each per week and will work alternative shifts each week:
Shift one: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 2.30pm
Shift two: Monday - Friday 12.00noon - 6.30pm
The main purpose of the post is:
● to have responsibility for the day to day opening / closing and security of the establishment.
● to be a key holder and respond to emergency call outs and pre-arranged opening/closing for contractors/lettings.
● to have responsibility for the day to day organisational requirements of the establishment and be responsible for cleaning a given area to the required specification.
● to have responsibility for the maintenance and operation of a range of plant and equipment associated with the operation of the hydrotherapy pool at Ysgol Penmaes (training will be provided if required). Please see the full job description.
The successful candidates will work as part of the school team and must be willing to undertake any training regarded as essential for carrying out this role.
You will need to:
• be a hands on individual who can develop and implement systems/procedures as well as maintain current ones
• be sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding the school and grounds
• be able to prepare and implement risk assessments and any recommendations
• contribute to projects and maintenance schedules
• be practical, with good DIY skills.
