HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT x 2
32.5hrs per week term time only
Start date: September 2025
As part of a long term strategy the Governing Body is seeking to appoint two Higher Level Teaching Assistants. We are looking for staff with commitment, energy, enthusiasm and drive to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils. The successful candidate may be expected to work between the main school and the satellite provision depending on the needs of
the school.
This post is suitable for candidates who have gained HLTA status.

We expect the successful candidate to:
● Be able to support the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils and seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience.
● Inspire and motivate our pupils and demonstrate a commitment to raising pupil attainment with high expectations of learning.
● Actively contribute to Additional Learning Provision target setting and monitoring;
● Be able to use your own initiative to improve the quality of provision for the pupils;
● Have experience of planning and delivering lessons;
● Be innovative, creative and ambitious as a good role model to pupils and other staff;
● Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations of positive behaviour.
● Communicate well with parents, carers and colleagues as well as pupils.
● Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.
● Work well as part of a team;
● Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
● Have the desire to make a substantial and sustained contribution towards the ethos and vision of our school;
● Have extensive experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs;
● Be prepared to assist with personal care (training for manual handling will be provided);
● Cover weekly PPA sessions where deemed necessary and appropriate
● Manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour (training will be provided)
including contributing to Individual Support Plans as well as adhering to them
● Support the planning of off-site visits
