Summary

We are looking for a versatile and highly-skilled lecturer to deliver First Study training to violinists at NC and HND levels. The ideal candidate will have experience of improving students’ violin skills using proven and structured methods that develop technique, musicianship and artistry. Delivery of lessons is typically one half-hour lesson per student per fortnight. The role includes planning lessons, preparing resources, assessment activity and record-keeping. Curricular integration with other departmental live music making activity will be required at times as will limited participation in Internal Verification processes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, work to their own initiative and relate well to students. You will support excellence in learning through the utilisation and delivery of high-quality learning, teaching and assessment processes. Candidates must be highly qualified and professionally experienced in violin performance.
