Beatlie School and Early Learning and Childcare meets the needs of children from 3 – 18 with profound and complex disabilities. The Head Teacher, along with the Principal Teachers work very closely to ensure the highest quality learning and teaching opportunities for all children. In recent years there has been a strong focus on ensuring learning and teaching is provided at an appropriate developmental level, embedding sensory learning and introducing a play-based curriculum. Last year, the school was assessed and maintained its Gold Level, Rights Respecting Schools Award and has retained three Green Flags. There are always NHS nurses on site to support the children’s medical needs. We have recently move to a brand new, purpose built campus with state of the art facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, rebound room and fully accessible outdoor space.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.
