Carmondean Primary School and Early Years Centre is a non-denominational school serving the community of Carmondean, Livingston, within the Deans Community High School Cluster. The current role is 310 children in the Primary School with 12 classes. Staffing consists of a Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, a Principal Teacher, 15 Class Teachers (6 part-time), 1 Nurture Teacher, 2 part-time Additional Support Needs teachers and 7 Pupil Support Workers. The school also benefits from having 1 specialist teacher for PE and 1 teacher for Digital Technology.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a School Pupil Support Worker, working effectively as part of a team to support our younger learners to thrive both socially and academically meeting the needs of young children and their families.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
