Summary

As the Secret Cloud Service Owner, you will be responsible for the delivery and operation of an eco-system of cloud services operating at the Secret security classification and at different levels of maturity. You should have a good understanding of cloud services and their uses, and be experienced in delivering significant technology projects, managing a budget, leading and setting the vision for your team. Due to the different levels of maturity of Secret Cloud services, you will mix the challenge of running live operational services with developing new and emerging capabilities, so you will need an understanding of the whole lifecycle for digital services to build and run one of the most critical components of the Defence Digital backbone.

This role can support a hybrid working pattern but the security classification and ways of working necessitate time in-office in Corsham.

In government, a Service Owner is accountable for the quality of their service. They adopt a portfolio view, managing end-to-end services, which include multiple products and channels.

At this role level, you will:

Operate at scale and provide the connection between multidisciplinary business areas and stakeholders.
Ensure the necessary business processes are followed.
Participate in the governance of the service, including acting as a point of escalation for the delivery teams.
Own the budget and allocate funding to areas of the service based on your decisions about priorities.
Communicate the benefits and performance of your service.
Be responsible for the successful operation and continuous improvement of the service.

Due to security and information access restriction, the role is only open to a sole BRITISH national.
