Summary
Sawmill Operator
This is an opportunity to work with timber, straight from the forest, in all forms and sizes.
This is a physical job that requires good fitness and dexterity.
Although the Sawmill is covered, you must be ability to work in an outdoor environment.
A good level of numeracy is essential, as all processes within the Sawmill require data input and checking.
The ability to use a tape measure in Metric or Feet and inches is essential.
Sawmill machinery is complex and highly automated; therefore a good understanding of mechanical systems would be useful.
Advancement to more senior post after a period of initial training is available to candidates with ambition and correct levels of understanding of complex machinery and systems.
This is a permanent, year round, full time position.
Many of the present employees have long service with the company.
The Sawmill is in a remote location therefore your own transport will be required.
A reference letter from your previous employer should be available if you are invited to an interview.
Hour of work, Mon-Thur 08:00-17:30. Fri 08:-16:30 Overtime available...
