Hours of work will be 8.45am – 1.45pm Monday to Friday, which includes one hour out of the office between 12.10pm and 1.10pm each day as a lunchtime assistant, supervising our children.

For our children, we’re a happy and healthy place to learn. For our staff, we’re a happy and healthy place to work.

We are seeking to appoint someone who shares our vision of developing this inspiring environment and who contributes towards the positive ethos of our school. Our staff and governors work hard to maintain and develop schools with an environment of inspiration and fun, where our children can live and learn in a happy and safe environment.

The successful candidate will need to be a friendly and calm first point of contact for our parents/carers and visitors to the school. You’ll have the motivation to work well under direction, as part of a team and using your own initiative, as well as being able to respond quickly to the changing needs of the school and/or interruptions from different members of our school community. You’ll also need a good eye for detail and excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

You will be required to:

• deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from internal and external customers
• manage attendance
• record dinner orders and liaise with the kitchen
• use ICT applications (SIMS, Word, Excel)
• collect, record and bank income for dinner money, school clubs, holiday clubs and educational visits
• prepare written communications
• order and monitor stock supplies
• work with others to help sustain work organisation and effectiveness.

The post is term time only.

• A great atmosphere and ethos which promotes inclusion and co-operation
• A commitment to diversity and a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare and safety (thorough checks will be made of the successful applicant’s background credentials, including enhanced DBS checks)

There will be a 6-month probationary period.

Closing date – 11 October 2024 at 12 noon
