Summary
Rise Academy are seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer. The post holder will work within a specialist engagement team (Learning & Engagement) to help the school to raise achievement by improving school attendance and punctuality and to meet our attendance targets. The practitioner will be involved with the promotion of positive attitudes by pupils and their families towards education and ensuring that parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities, particularly where there is persistent absence. In this role you will make unsupervised home visits and attends meeting both at school and off site.
Salary: Grade 4, Point 5 £23,500 - Point 7 £24,294 pro rata for 37 hours per week, term time plus five additional training days (39 weeks).
The role will hold a caseload of vulnerable young people and will be responsible for tracking attendance and engagement, keeping accurate records on school systems. The post holder will implement agreed learning programmes in order to engage individuals/groups in learning activity. The post holder will need to be committed and motivated in order to achieve learner objectives and flexible enough to transfer skills and experience to a variety of environments and programmes, including classroom and vocational learning. This will include contributing to the positive climate for learning.
