Summary

Data Migration SME - S4 Hana Migration

Location: Hybrid - 3 days on site in Marble Arch

Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (Data Workstream) Job Description

My client has embarked on Finance Transformation journey which incorporates a large-scale S/4HANA deployment for Finance. We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP data migration processes and methodologies, as well as strong analytical skills to ensure the seamless transfer of data between SAP ECC6.0 and the new SAP S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis: Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues.
  2. Work with business units to cleanse and prepare data for migration.
  3. Utilise SAP tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, LTMC) for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  4. Create and maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, mapping documents, and data lineage.
  5. Provide training and support to team members on data migration procedures.
  6. Develop and execute data validation and testing plans to validate data integrity post-migration.
  7. Collaborate with Data Reviewers and Business Unit Approvers to ensure successful data migration with respect to business processes.

Stakeholder Communication:

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for data migration-related inquiries from Data Reviewers and Business Unit Approvers
  2. Act as liaison between TCS Development Team and the wider Data Workstream
  3. Provide regular updates on migration progress to Data Lead and Project Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Proven hands-on experience with SAP ECC6.0 and SAP S/4HANA is mandatory
  2. Completed at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation
  3. SAP Certified Associate qualification is highly desirable
  4. Project Management qualifications is advantageous (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum, Agile etc.)

Skills:

  1. Proficient in data migration tools, techniques and methodologies specific to SAP (e.g. LTMC, SAP Data Services, SE16N, DBACOCKPIT)
  2. Proficient in advanced Excel and SQL
  3. Highly knowledgeable in Data Modelling, Migration and Management best practices
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
  6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Work Environment:

  1. On site in London (Marble Arch) 2-3 days week
  2. This position may require occasional travel to Salford Quays, Manchester and collaboration with offshore team in India
