Summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council are looking to recruit a part-time SEN Finance Officer to work as part of the Special Educational Needs Team within the Education and Inclusion Service. This is a temporary role on a fixed term contract for 2 years
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to provide financial support and advice to customers and providers. As the SEN Finance Officer you will need to demonstrate:

A sound working knowledge of ordering, invoicing and payment systems and procedures.
Experience of working in financial / administrative environment.
Proven experience in dealing with customers, providing advice and information on a 1 to 1 basis
Effective budget and performance management.


You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships and be able to deal with varied situations in a pragmatic and supportive manner. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the range of services we provide.

Responsibilities include business and administrative support by processing financial activities in the Council's Unit 4 system. You will be developing positive relationships with our customers and provide efficient and effective financial support and advice to customers and providers.

Pattern of hours: Monday to Tuesday 9am to 5pm and Wednesday 9am to 1:30pm
