UHBW – Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine


University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust is delighted to have the opportunity to be able to appoint a substantive consultant to join our well established multi-disciplinary diabetes & endocrinology team. This is a full-time (10PA) post and will offer exposure to specialist secondary and tertiary diabetes and endocrine services in our dynamic and thriving teaching hospital. Applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or have evidence of being within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by the date of interview. The successful candidate will be expected to provide, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Outpatient clinics in diabetes and endocrinology

Specialty MDTs

Contribution to managing in-patients with diabetes and endocrine problems.

Contribution to managing GIM inpatients including on call duties.

Supervision of junior doctors and nursing staff

Active participation in departmental meetings

Contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
