We are recruiting for a talented Civil Engineer to join a reputable engineering consultancy based in Altrincham. This consultancy specializes in offering multi-disciplined engineering services and is looking to expand its civils team due to having won a large amount of projects over the summer !
About the Role:
As the Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Civils team which consist of 5 people , contributing to the development of innovative design solutions on a variety of projects such as residential , commercial and industrial. This is a full-time hybrid role, offering a blend of office and remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Developing infrastructure designs and planning schemes to meet industry standards.
- Producing Masterplan concept drawings and general arrangements.
- Producing drainage , external works , cut and fill analysis of roads/highways designs on the projects above.
- Assisting in the preparation of contract documents and specifications.
- Conducting inspections, surveys, and site supervision.
- Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
- Developing design solutions aligned with client needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in infrastructure drainage or highways design.
- Experience with Section 278/38 agreements and water industry agreements such as section: 104, 106 ,108.
- Familiarity with drainage standards and guidance.
- Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, and Highway standards.
- Experience in Micro Drainage or equivalent software.
- Desirable: Experience with Civil 3D software.
