Summary


We have an opportunity for a band 3 nursing assistant, the role will cover clinical and non clinical duties.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person that can help make a difference to both the experience of the patients and staff.

Beach ward is a busy paediatric ward that cares for children with renal and urology conditions. The special feed unit that caters for the whole of the Evelina is also part of Beach ward

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly renowned and innovative multi-disciplinary team at one of the UK's leading teaching Hospitals.

We are a specialised children's ward, the role will facilitate the smooth running of the ward, the successful candidate will be pivotal in maintaining the ward environment and supplies and supporting the nursing staff to provide excellent clinical care

§ To assist with patient nutritional needs – eating, drinking, menu selection, meal delivery and special diets according to the individual patient’sneeds

§ To assist registered professionals in the assessment, admission and discharge and handover of patients including any necessaryrisk assessments

§ To escort patients and families to other departments within the hospital as required

§ To participate in maintaining standards of hygiene, cleanliness and infection control, reporting problems asappropriate

§ To be competent in the making of complex infant feeds

§ Recognise and avoid situations that might be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of individuals
