We are currently looking for a Trainee Claims Handler to join us, ideally based within reach of our Nottingham office.
As part of this trainee role, you will have the opportunity through classroom and practical based learning to gain all the knowledge and skills required to successfully understand, manage, and investigate property related claims.
Areas of training will include but are not limited to:
Understanding in the wider insurance sector including understanding regulations, how the business operates and “what is claims?”
How to make sound decisions based on the available information, own experience, and consideration of all possible outcomes.
Interpreting policy wording and conditions to determine validity of claims.
How to keep accurate and complete records of communications and business transactions in accordance with company procedures.
Carry out all work in accordance with agreed service standards and FCA regulations.
The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and strong attention to detail, thrive in a customer focused environment, and have a passion for problem-solving and a willingness and eagerness to learn.
We’re interested in speaking with anyone who is looking to take the 1st steps into a new career or someone looking for a change in career direction. Whilst no experience is necessary, knowledge of the regulatory sector and / or some claims experience would be preferred but is not essential.
