Summary

There are several posts working for Hull City Council which will be based at West, East and North localities. We are looking for someone who will work closely with social workers across children’s safeguarding to provide directed family time as set out in the child’s plan between children and their families with the aim of facilitating a positive experience for the children.
You will assist and support parents and extended family members to take an active role in children’s lives by encouraging positive and meaningful family time sessions (facilitating play and other family activities) enabling children and families to build on relationships.
We are looking for someone with good verbal and written communication skills who can work positively with families and children. We are seeking a committed, flexible, people-centred family time worker.
We offer and provide good supervision and support in a positive team environment.
You will need to demonstrate:
• Experience of supporting vulnerable children and families who may have a learning difficulty and are vulnerable.• Confidence to deal with difficult situations.• Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable people.• Produces clear and accurate records• Ability to work as part of a team.• Reliability and ability to work flexibly. • Ability to transport yourself around the City.
