We are seeking to recruit a motivated individual to the role of Deputy Ward Sister / Deputy Charge Nurse on Elective Care Centre.

The Elective Care Centre is a 9 bedded admission unit which specialises in colorectal, upper GI, Urology and Gynae admissions.

You will support the unit Sister in leading and developing the wonderful nursing team in this department and promote multi-disciplinary working to assist in the delivery of a patient-centred, clinically effect and dynamic service for the patient's admission assessment to transfer to theatre. This role requires commitment to providing a quality service and a supportive teaching environment.

Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.

To be responsible with the guidance of the Ward Sister / Matron for providing leadership and teaching within the ward environment.

Through knowledge, good example and education enable unit staff to deliver high quality, individualised care.

To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the Ward.
