Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: North West England, Cheshire, Winsford

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours on site

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Design, develop and maintain mechanical systems and components
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new designs
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure project deadlines are met
• Provide technical support to production and operations teams
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineering (PE) licence preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven track record in designing and implementing mechanical systems

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practises
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Previous experience in the electronics industry

Working Conditions:

• Office-based work with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities
• Regular collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
