Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer, ideally with a background in the water sector, to join our client's dynamic team in the North West. This exciting opportunity arises from continued growth and significant work-winning success throughout 2024. You'll be working closely with project managers, construction managers, and other key stakeholders, playing a crucial role in securing and delivering vital infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tenders for clients and develop commercial bids to drive new business acquisition.
- Develop and present comprehensive project proposals.
- Meet with clients to ascertain and refine their requirements.
- Produce detailed project plans and estimate associated budgets and timescales.
- Discuss, draft, review, and negotiate the terms of business contracts.
- Agree on budgets and timescales effectively with clients.
- Manage construction schedules and budgets diligently.
- Proactively address and resolve any unexpected costs that may arise.
- Attend site meetings to monitor project progress and ensure alignment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, site managers, and project managers.
- Collaborate with third parties to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure all construction projects meet agreed technical standards rigorously.
- Liaise effectively with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and client representatives.
- Oversee final accounts at the culmination of each project.
- Work effectively in both on-site and office environments as required.
Requirements
- Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management. Equivalent substantial work experience will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the construction industry.
- Proficiency in understanding legal documentation.
- Solid Maths and IT knowledge.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Proven business management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
