Summary
As a Domestic Sewing Machine Mechanic, your primary responsibility is to inspect, repair, and maintain domestic sewing machines. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide guidance to customers on proper machine care. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and customer service skills will contribute to the overall satisfaction of clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Machine Diagnostics and Repairs:
• Conduct thorough inspections of domestic sewing machines to identify mechanical, electrical, or performance issues.
• Diagnose problems and provide accurate repair estimates to customers.
• Perform repairs and adjustments to sewing machines, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
2. Technical Expertise:
• Stay updated on the latest sewing machine models, technologies, and repair techniques.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to domestic sewing machines.
3. Workshop Organization:
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols when handling tools and equipment.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a sewing machine mechanic, preferably with domestic sewing machines.
• Strong knowledge of sewing machine mechanics, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality repairs.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
• Familiarity with various domestic sewing machine brands and models.
