Summary
Saint Mary’s Hospital Managed Clinical Service is the largest maternity service in the country providing care for women across Manchester, its surrounding areas and the North West. Saint Mary's Hospital is a well-known Centre of excellence across three sites, all with a vibrant and lively working atmosphere. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a antenatal & Newborn screening co ordinating Midwife predominantly based at our North Manchester site to work within our team to deliver the antenatal and newborn screening Programme. You will also be expected to flexibly work across all 3 sites within the MCS as required.

The Antenatal and Newborn Screening Coordinating Midwife works in collaboration with local programme clinical leads to ensure national screening programme standards are met. This includes the monitoring of the quality and effectiveness of the screening services offered in the Trust.
As the lead for the Antenatal and Newborn screening programmes, the post holder is responsible for:
The management of screen positive results across the screening pathways.
• Counselling of women and their families in the event of a high chance/screen positive result.
• Collecting and collating matched cohort screening data for quarterly and annual data returns.
• Writing and presenting screening programme reports at local, regional and national level.
