Summary

Job Title: ST3+ (or equivalent) Clinical Fellow with Interest in Endometriosis Specialty/Department: Obstetrics & Gynaecology Location: Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds, West Yorkshire Duration: 6 months + with possibility of extension to 2 years BACKGROUND TO THE POST An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The service is delivered through four sites: St James University Hospital (SJUH), Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), Wharfdale General Hospital and Seacroft Hospital. This is a non-training post, however, it allows the post holder, including applicants who already hold CCT, to gain experience that will help to secure future posts. Almost all the sub-specialities in Obstetrics and Gynaecology are provided for at our centre. The LTHT Endometriosis Service is specially commissioned to deliver the endometriosis care to the patients of Leeds. It consists of a multidisciplinary team that is able to assess and treat women with all grades of endometriosis ranging from mild disease to the most severe form involving the bladder, bowel and thoracic endometriosis. We work in close collaboration with colorectal surgeons, urologists, thoracic and plastic surgeons. The post holder will be an integral part of the service taking part direct clinical care, remote consultations, leading or assisting on the preparation of endometriosis MDT, pelvic pain MDT, and endometriosis clinics, theatre lists including robotics. The post holder will also be encouraged to take part in research and audit projects in endometriosis and pelvic pain. Our department is research active and currently recruiting to NIHR portfolio and commercial studies in endometriosis
