We are renowned for excellence and innovation and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. We are currently looking for a dynamic, motivated senior research manager to help lead one of the teams within the busy Cardiac Research Department at Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the biggest cardiovascular centres in Europe.

The primary responsibility of the post holder is to support the running of the cardiac research department, help with the management of a portfolio of research projects and finances, and data collection. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of clinical trials including supporting funding applications, study set up and delivery. They will help to coordinate the funding, contracts and governance processes involved with clinical research. They will coordinate research grant funding calls, monitor research progress against objectives, monitor spend against budgets, support management meetings, collate reports and provide administrative support to staff.

You must demonstrate strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, be computer literate, flexible and be able to manage your own time effectively in order to project manage the research portfolio, Trust processes and research team activity. You will have experience in research and budget management, and in administering funding calls but this is not essential.
