If so, we are looking for Lead Infrastructure Engineers to join us at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and we would love to hear from you.

We are looking to recruit hands-on Lead Infrastructure Engineers to join our team at Information Technology Services (ITS) here at the DVLA. Your role will involve helping us to build world class user focused digital services, you will manage IT systems on and off premise and support software, core technologies and infrastructure development projects. You will head up one of the 3rd line teams within the End User Compute function using your engineering skills and in-depth product knowledge to design and implement technical best practice.

These roles would be perfect for a person who is passionate about the latest technologies with a focus on modern device management on both Windows and MacOS environments. You will already be experienced in a dynamic Azure AD and M365 products. You will be heading up a team that thrive on working in a dynamic and collaborative environment that will challenge you daily to enhance and evolve your strong technical skills.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Setting technical direction to a team of Infrastructure engineers.
  • Ownership of M365 products e.g. Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Defender.
  • Ensuring effective design, planning and implementation of creative and innovative service changes across Digital and Legacy platforms.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation, which may be distributed to various audiences and be comfortable to present information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the definition of operational processes, (both internal and external) and dealing with customer escalated problems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex problems. Engaging with third parties/vendors to jointly resolve issues where necessary. Proactively analysing information and trends, proposing action to resolve problems, maintain and enhance service.
