LUHFT employs over 120 pharmacists across 3 sites providing clinical pharmacy services to all major specialties. This post is based on the Aintree site of the Trust.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and forward thinking clinical pharmacist to work as a team and help lead our established clinical pharmacy team within the Vascular Surgery Directorate.
We have a fully integrated electronic prescribing system along with unique in-house systems to help you deliver excellent clinical care to your patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and delivery of a high quality, proactive and patient focused clinical pharmacy service to the directorate of Vascular Surgery.
Assist the Lead Divisional Pharmacist-Surgery in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the directorate of Vascular Surgery.
To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the directorate of Vascular Surgery.
Assist the Lead Divisional Pharmacist-Surgery in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the directorate of Vascular Surgery.
Provide non-medical prescribing services to our surgical patients.
Identify the clinical and economic impact of medicines use, develop and implement clinical guidelines, monitor drug expenditure and support the area to meet their clinical and financial targets.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Liverpool Vascular and Endovascular Service (LiVES) provides comprehensive care to patients with blood vessel disorders (diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatics) in Merseyside, the North West and beyond.
Our LiVES Vascular service is delivered by a team of highly skilled and experienced consultants.
LiVES is one of the largest vascular services in the country and currently operates at Aintree University Hospital.

To provide an advanced clinical service to the directorate of Vascular Surgery within the division of surgery in accordance with professional, departmental and Trust policies.
Provide highly specialist pharmaceutical information to medical and nursing staff and patients within the Directorate and to General Practitioners and other staff within the Trust where appropriate.
To act as an independent prescriber in accordance with the Trust's Non-Medical Prescribers policies and guidelines (once registered as a non-medical prescriber)
Participate in Consultant ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings relevant to the designated wards and or directorate,
