Summary

As a First Response Officer at Sodexo in Dublin, you will be responsible for upholding fire safety, responding to incidents on the Emergency Line and being ready to go in the event of emergency. You have a keen eye for detail, and your organisational skills will ensure everything runs like clockwork.  Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. Qualifications Required:

  • Emergency Medical Technician qualification
  • Full Clean Driving Licence

  What you’ll do:

  • Monitor the Fire Alarm Management System
  • Make sure all equipment is ready for emergency use.
  • On commencement of each shift, make sure that the Tender (Vehicle) is roadworthy and that all equipment on board is in good working order in line with Checklists (Equipment Checklist-Tender and Equipment Checklist Record Sheet)
  • Ensure that all B.A (Breathing Apparatus) equipment is ready to go at moment’s notice, in line with checklists (Record of Testing and Maintenance of Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus Sheet)
  • Ensure that all firefighting uniforms are check and at the ready
  • Check the Shift Handover Sheet for any instructions or duties to be carried out.
  • Carry out all Training Drills as instructed by Station Officer / Supervisor.
  • Attend to all fire alarm activations and pre-warnings, dealing with emergency situations, extinguishing fires etc, and fill out incident reports. Ensuring all faults with the alarm systems are recorded and subsequently reported.
  • Two officers to respond to all fire alarm activations and incidents. One officer can respond to pre-warnings and faults and call the second officer if required.
  • Respond to all calls on the Emergency Line 6666
  • Carry out Standby Duties in case of Welding, Drain/Vessel Entries etc, in line with duties. Ensure permit to work documentation is in order.
  • Attend all accidents on site and fill out reports.
  • Attend to all personnel who may call to the Emergency Response Centre for medical attention.

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • A keen eye for detail – nothing goes unnoticed.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to connect and work all staff members and client team.
  • Energetic and capable of taking control of situations and the initiative and decisions are needed.
