Summary
An exciting opportunity nursing leadership role has arisen for a permanent Band 7 Ward Manger to head up Frank deas Acute medical ward .
We seek a natural, self-motivated leaded whose spirit will continue to drive forward this ward for our acute medical patients , who relishes a challenge, flourishes in a fast paced environment with a natural aptitude for managing ever changing priorities to meet clinical and operational need
Ward Manager key responsibilities are to:
· 24 hour accountability, including line management of their ward and the delivery of high quality care with all appropriate systems and processes in place to ensure the continuity of safe and effective care for patients and a safe working environment for staff at all times.
· Support and contribute to the development of patient care and practice within the Directorate, contributing to Trust projects where required and ensuring provisions are made for staff to develop their knowledge and skills.
· Ensure junior staff and students have appropriate supervision, support and are appropriately assessed.
· Facilitate and organise the daily running of the ward liaising with the wider team of medical staff, bed manager and allied health care professional
