Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 94-year-old lady living in the wider area of Porth. I always look on the bright side of life and I am generally a happy lady. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Before I retired, I worked in a care home, which involved cooking and dancing. I have a very caring nature and then I went on to work as a nursery school assistant. I used to be in the Chapel choir- I love singing and I can play the piano. I enjoy knitting, crochet, and love a quiz.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a PA to help me remain as independent as possible to support me with my morning and evening routine.
PLACE OF WORK
At my home address
HOURS OF WORK
Saturday and Sunday 11:00-12:00, 18:00-19:00
4 hours per week
RATE OF PAY
£13.50 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Prompt me with my medication
Make/ change my bed
Empty commode and bin
Prepare a hot breakfast
Clean dishes
Help with my morning routine
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who is happy and looks on the bright side of life
Someone who is interactive and reassuring
Someone who is engaging
Someone who can guide me to be safe at home
Someone with experience Alzheimer’s
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
