Summary

Title: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
Contract: Full Time.
Hours: 37.5 Hours each week
Salary: TBC + paid training hours and uniform
Summertime Nursery and Preschool are seeking to appoint a flexible and motivated individual to become part of our committed and friendly staff team.
The position will include one early start 7:30 am and one late finish 6pm. You will be provided with a uniform and paid for any additional training hours. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have previous experience of working with babies from 6 months to 4-year-old.

Description
• Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience of working in a nursery setting, with babies and young children.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS development statements and guidance is essential.
• Sound understanding of child development, and of children’s needs.
• Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities’ considerations.
• Demonstrable and detailed knowledge of current legislation relevant to the early years.
• Ability to work with parents and families to encourage their involvement.
• Ability to write clear observations and summaries
• Ability to work as a key worker for a small group of children and parents.
The position will allow the successful candidate to be involved in enriching the lives of children and families in an established and popular nursery situated on the premises of the Thomas Hardye School.
