Summary

An exciting opportunity exists to join our professional Project Management team. The candidate will be responsible for the Industrial Readiness and Enablement of key wing developments, achieving Time, Cost & Quality metrics. Primarily working on project which delivers modifications to wings, candidate will be expected to run 3 to 4 modifications run at one time – different lifecycle stages for each project – some in early development and some ready to be embodied into production.

As the successful candidate, your main activities will include:
Project Delivery:
• Secure the delivery of all STEP & Major Mods in line with Time, Cost & Quality targets
• Ensure all Modifications have a robust SoW accounting for all Plant / Functional impacts
• Lead the E2E assessment of Projects / Modifications in line with STEP governance and Mods Process
• Integrate and coordinate Mod impacts across all Plant functions (E2E)
• Lead Maturity Gate Criteria assessment and secure review evidence / pack update
• Drive MGx action / RID closure in line with Project, Programme and Plant needs
• Tracking performance vs plan throughout the project lifecycle
• Analysing project data to anticipate deviations and proposing corrective actions to support decision making.
Cost & Finance:
• Coordinate Financial monitoring and Controlling (CAPEX) e.g. CAPEX Dossier consolidation & CAPEX MFT approval
• Coordinate Financial monitoring and Controlling (OPEX) e.g. Monthly financial reviews with functions (actuals, forecast, EOY, FCAC)
• Project Governance:
• Support all STEP and Major Mod MFT reviews providing robust and topical updates
• Manage Risk & Ops at Mod and Plant level ensuring regular review and assessment with mitigating actions
• Lead the integrated planning at Mod level aligned to Programme and Plant needs and integrate into higher level planning
• Coordinate Industrial monthly reviews, consolidating all inputs e.g. 4-box reports, financial status (OPEX & CAPEX)
• Right to Left Steering Schedule (updates as per CAP, regular refresh and update with Functional inputs) (STEP 8, 9, ULR & Freighter) STEP 10 to be added
Skills & Experience:
• Someone who understands modification process and how to enable this into production
• Strong facilitation skills for leading, motivating & enabling the team performance
• Sound data management and visualisation skills including G Suite
• Ideally Candidate will have aviation experience, or failing that has a solid background working for companies with modification processes
• Ability to listen, understand and respond in a constructive manner
• Ability to negotiate, influence and to manage conflicts
• Willingness and ability to handle changes on a day-to-day basis in a timely manner
• Challenge mind-set, ability to speak up
• Interested in deploying innovation and new ways of working
• Work cross functionally in Multi-Functional Teams
