  • East Staffordshire Full-time & Permanent
  • Tamworth - 1 year Fixed term
Main Responsibilities

As a SEND keyworker, you will:

  • Be supporting the Family Practitioner Leads to carry out the Local Authority’s SEND duties in relation to co-ordinating EHC Assessments
  • Producing EHC Plans and carrying out annual reviews
  • You will work closely with our children and young people with special educational needs and disability and their families as well as a range of qualified professionals in education, health and social care.
  • Develop collaborative and respectful relationships, promoting choice and independence and improve outcomes
  • Ensure that education, health, and care plans comply with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements in addition to the policies, standards and procedures of the authority.
The Ideal Candidate

It’s a fast-paced role so you’ll need to be able to manage your own caseload independently and as part of the team.

You will also:

  • Need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of the SEND legislation plus, it’s important that you can reflect on practice and improve as a result.
