Summary
We’ve an exciting opportunity in the newly formed Analytics team in AXA Commercial for a new Data Science and AI Manager to become a pivotal part in our plan to deliver value through data, analytics and AI. You’ll drive our progress into the upcoming waves of AI, including LLMs and Generative AI. AXA is investing in the development of internal technology capabilities, and you’ll have the opportunity to use this technology, develop delivery framework, and develop AI solutions to directly provide value to our customer and the organisation. To do this, we’re looking for a thought leader to pioneer the introduction of Generative AI into our customer journeys, internal process, and analytics models, and to make it a part of our every-day delivery.
You’ll join a team of passionate Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers, who are utilising our Azure Data Bricks architecture to learn from our data and find new and interesting ways to deliver value. The team is new to AXA Commercial, and it works in areas across the analytics landscape: Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. We aim to deliver value to our customers and the organisation, by supporting data driven decision-making, identifying opportunities for improvement, or building and delivering solutions. Our internal stakeholders are keen to use data to help improve customer experiences, learn more about customer behaviour, and build and deliver better products. You’ll be encouraged to push the boundaries of what we’ve been able to deliver so far, pioneer new ways of working, deliver quickly and navigate the internal structures of a large organisation, and to communicate transparently, clearly, and effectively.
As a team, we work on multiple ideas and opportunities across AXA Commercial, so you’ll have the chance to dig deep into large data sources, and to work on a variety of use cases and products. You’ll have the opportunity to lead the Analytics team’s delivery of these use cases, build end-to-end data science and AI products, and be the expert on Generative AI. You’ll be responsible for identifying and understanding opportunities, designing a solution, delivering this within our delivery framework, and communicating the results to stakeholders, to support their decision-making.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
Be a thought leader in both traditional and new Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Proactively share analytics knowledge and train colleagues to be capable of delivery value through advanced techniques, including AI and ML.
Line and delivery management of team members to deliver valuable analytics and support their development.
Oversee the effectiveness of the team’s analytics models, including AI and ML models, and develops the team’s ability to apply statistics, data mining and predictive modelling techniques to gain insights, predict behaviours and generate value.
Provide a work environment and resources that allow individuals and workgroups to perform their tasks efficiently, and encourages transparency, open communication, and high levels of engagement.
Delivery of analytics models to provide value to AXA customers and the organisation. This includes the design, build, and product ionisation of Generative AI models and products.
Undertake and supports team members in the refinement of requirements, whilst also, validating, training and evolving models over time to discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations.
Lead the monitoring and maintenance of productionised models to deliver high-quality, reliable analytics products.
Stakeholder engagement to keep up to date on AXA, maintain relationships, and develop opportunities to provide value to customers, colleagues, and the business.
Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.
