Summary

THE ROLE
* Installation of network / fibre infrastructure, including external underground/overhead cabling, internal cable installation, and supporting infrastructure (splice closures, fibre terminals, patch panels, cabinets, PON equipment).
* Assist with underground surveys and route proving based on existing duct network plans and rodding/roping activities, and network planning.
* Report progress, defects, and blockages to the operations team.
* Installation of high-capacity radio links, working from a MEWP (Cherry-picker) or on rooftops.
* Assist with installation/maintenance projects and general housekeeping within our datacentre/network facilities.
* The role will involve some out-of-hours work.

Our regional Reliance House datacentre, regional fibre/wireless network, and national high-capacity network allow us to provide flexible, high-speed, but cost-effective connectivity solutions to local residents, businesses and partners.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS PROVIDED
Training and Qualifications will depend upon the individual, based upon their progression within the role, but as a minimum will include:
* Openreach accredited training (PIA)
* NRSWA (To work in the public highway)
* Splicing and Jointing training
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Must have GCSEs grades A-C (4+) in English and Maths. A full clean driving licence is required due to the field nature of the work. Applicants must be willing to work outdoors and at height.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITITES

SALARY AND WORKING HOURS
Starting salary £24,000/annum, reviewed 6-monthly based upon progression within the role. Based on 37.5 hours per week, working hours typically 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, some out of hours work maybe rostered based on company requirements. Overtime available from time to time.
