We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity for a People Partner to join the Tesco Mobile team. This is an outstanding role working within an established Joint Venture between Tesco and VMO2 (Virgin Media & O2).

As a People Partner, your role is to help build an inspiring culture for our colleagues which creates high levels of engagement and performance, ensuring we have a strong pipeline of talent for the future as well as providing coaching and mentoring to managers on people matters. This role would suit someone who has an agile mindset and strong partnering skills. Please note that travel between the Welwyn Garden City, Slough and Manchester offices will be included within this role!

You will be responsible for

Tesco Mobile is constantly evolving, so whilst some responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the business, here is an overview of the main responsibilities.

  • Co-creating & leading on the people strategy for the business
  • Partnering the agile lead population to deliver and land the people strategy for the business
  • Acting as a trusted partner & independent voice for critical or complex people issues & supporting agile leads to problem solve through great relationships with all partners, focusing on early and informal resolution of issues.
  • Being curious with data and metrics to provide people insight to the business to inform judgment and decision making
  • Leading on the people elements of change programmes & having the ability to guide and support the team through the emotional and cognitive transitions
  • Consulting and diagnosing key cultural and capability needs, being curious, agitating and engaging leadership teams to identify and achieve improvements
  • Supporting the business to enable the strategic workforce planning including the recruitment cycle, empowering, creating and feeding talent pools, leadership development, succession planning, building capability and employee engagement
  • Leading the delivery and improvement of the colleague lifecycle e.g. new starters, leavers, moves and payroll
  • Being informed on People policies, employment law, experienced and curious about the business & shareholders.
  • Advising on advanced cases & build capability to enable individuals to self-serve for future cases
  • Working closely with the Tesco store partnering team to ensure the Tesco Mobile Phone colleagues have a consistently great colleague experience.
  • Working closely with both shareholder partners to support the HR delivery to Tesco Mobile Head Office colleagues
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need
