Your new company
Hays Education are working with a Secondary school in Wallasey who are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor on a permanent basis to supervise students doing pre-prepared tasks in the absence of the class teacher.
Your new role
The role of a Cover Supervisor involves taking charge of a class of pupils, ensuring student behaviour is managed, and class work is completed. Lesson planning class work will be set by the qualified teacher, and not be included in the role.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, candidates must have a full DBS on the update service/documents to apply for one, as well as:
- Previous experience working with children/leading large groups
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Confidence and good communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding
- Previous cover supervisor experience (Desirable)
