Are you an experienced nurse with an interest in Critical Care Outreach?
This is an exciting time to join the Critical Care Team at UHBW, Weston site as we are one of the 143 sites taking part in the Marthas rule implementation.
The Critcal Care Outreach team at Weston is a small nursing team made up of 7 band 6s and one band 7 team lead. We care for a diverse set of patients throughout the hospital and work closely with both the parent teams and ICU team.
As an Outreach Nurse, you will be committed to providing clear and effective leadership to empower the ward nursing teams to develop both in practice and professionally to deliver a service of excellence to our patients and their families. We are seeking confident, enthusiastic and adaptable individuals with effective communication and clinical skills in the management of the deteriorating patient. Within the Outreach role you will help to maintain patient safety by supporting the ward MDT in the management of the deteriorating adult patient, as well as following up the complex discharges from ICU.
To fufil this role you will need significant experience of working at a Band 5 level in either an acute ward, Emergency department or ICU. You will be supported by the Outreach Band 7 as well as the Outreach Matron for Weston and the across site Outreach Nurse lead. Staff development is a key priority and you would be supported to continue your own professional development through accredited modules and in-house development to support your nursing career development.
