Crynodeb
You will be responsible for projects and activities working directly with local people and communities to identify their needs, agree solutions and connect them with C3SC’s projects, other groups, organisations and partners to help them work towards their goals. We are looking for candidates with an interest in taking person and community centred approaches to help people and community groups achieve positive change. We are particularly looking for someone who will be resourceful, with excellent communication, IT and teamwork skills.
Job Description – key duties and responsibilities
Promote and support community action and volunteering:
1. Assist with developing and implementing activities, programmes and projects that develop, strengthen and connect local people, groups and communities. The initial focus will be supporting the Levelling-up Shared Prosperity “Communities and Place” program.
2. Work with your line manager to develop a work plan of activities that support community focussed development programmes based on local needs.
3. Work with individuals and groups using person-centred, asset-based approaches to identify challenges, interests and goals.
4. Connect people and groups to C3SC and other services for information and support to develop their skills, and their involvement and contribution in the local community.
5. Liaise with partner organisations and groups to advocate for and support individuals and community groups to network and connect with development, training, funding, influence, volunteering and other opportunities to support their needs and aspirations.
6. Support individuals and groups to record and evaluate their progress and experience.
7. Record data and provide reports on progress and delivery outcomes, meeting deadlines.
8. Research, record and promote local activities and services to help ensure more people are aware of the opportunities available and work with community groups, the team and partners to develop other options in the community that respond to needs and interests.
Training and learning:
9. Participate proactively in supervision meetings and undertake training for continued personal and professional development relevant to your role and C3SC.
10. Regularly attend and participate in relevant C3SC and other meetings.
Effective influence and engagement:
11. Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships.
12. Represent and promote C3SC, community action and volunteering at relevant meetings and community events.

13. Meet all deadlines agreed with your line manager, key partners and funders.
14. Champion the highest standards of health and safety and safeguarding.
15. Carry out any additional work and duties that meet the needs of the business.
