Summary
Stock and Logistics Administrator
Salary - £12.50 per hour, 25 Hours a week (negotiable), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Working Closely with - Sales Department, Stores Department & Accounts Department.
Reporting to - Operations Director.
Family-owned Marine Engineering company based in Newton Abbot has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Stock and Logistics Administrator.
Tasks
- Receipting goods into the stock control system.
- Producing weekly and monthly reports from the stock control system
- Reporting changes in product or service costs to relevant department
- Ordering from suppliers, generating purchase orders and using supplier ordering portals
- Responsible for administration and updating of the stock control system
- Liaising and building relationships with freight forwarders and suppliers
- Arranging imports and exports via freight forwarders
- Booking UK Road freight with transport companies
- Maintaining correct stock control and accurate purchase and pricing records
- Liaising with other departments to ensure parts are sourced and supplied when required.
- Updating relevant departments with shipping and delivery information
- Positively supporting activities carried out by other departments
Skills & Experience
- Previous purchasing or stock control experience preferred but not essential, ideally within an engineering environment.
- Great organisation and time management skills
- Previous experience of stock control system is an advantage
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential.
- Good numeracy, organisational and problem-solving skills
