Summary
Our client, requires an Accounts Assistant. Our client offers Monday to Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (37.5 hours per week) £35,000 per annum. Duties include assisting in the day to day running of the Accounts department
Tasks include: Sales ledger - including debtors & credit applications Purchase ledger invoicing - coding and posting Nominal ledger and journal posting Maintaining and reconciling all monetary control accounts - GBP, USD & Euro cashbooks and petty cash. FX transactions & daily rates Supplier payments Weekly & salaried payroll - Sage 50 payroll Processing new starters & leavers Maintaining employee records & holidays/absences Pension submissions & administration HMRC payments Importing VAT and related documentation National Statistics forms & other reporting as required Basic HR as required Audit preparation Other ad-hoc tasks as required Key skills & Experiences: Must be fully conversant in Sage 50 payroll and Office, particularly Excel Ability to work alone, prioritising workload and working to strict deadlines Good communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent attention to detail both in the preparation and reviewing of data Knowledge/experience of the following would be beneficial: Preparation of accounts - P&L and balance sheet Month end tasks, such as prepayments, accruals & depreciation VAT returns
