Summary
Industrial Encoders Direct is a small, independent UK manufacturer of high-precision rotary encoders used in various industries, including automation, film and television and robotics.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Electronics Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a passion for electronics (particularly at component level) and a desire to learn and grow within the encoder manufacturing industry. Previous experience in electronics is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly, testing, repair and calibration of rotary encoders and related electronic components.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of tests, repairs and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, soldering equipment and electronic testing equipment is desirable but not essential.
