Conference And Reviewing Officer (Grade K)
Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference And Reviewing Officer to join our team. As a Grade K Officer, you will play a crucial role in organizing and overseeing conferences and reviewing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that our events and reviews run smoothly and efficiently, maximizing the value and impact for all participants involved.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of conferences, from event planning to execution, ensuring that all logistical details are handled effectively.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop conference agendas, including key themes, speakers, and breakout sessions.
Manage conference budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
Oversee the selection and coordination of venues, catering, audiovisual equipment, and other conference services.
Develop timelines and work closely with the communication team to ensure effective promotion of conferences and recruit high-quality attendees.
Collect and analyze feedback from conference participants to continuously improve events and address any areas of improvement.
Lead the review process for a variety of projects, ensuring that timelines and quality standards are met.
Coordinate with project teams to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for process optimization.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among reviewers, ensuring timely completion of reviews.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all conferences and reviews, creating reports as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience in organizing conferences and managing review processes.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in using event management and review software and tools.
Ability to travel to conferences and events, as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
Knowledge of industry best practices in event planning and review processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach.
